Not that the children need the energy boost but they are a super healthy and tasty snack. Definitely a family favourite!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup dates
- ¾ cup rolled oats
- ¼ cup ground sunflower seeds
- ¼ cup ground hazelnut
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tbsp carob powder
- 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
Method:
- Soak dates in hot water for 10 minutes
- Ground the oats for a few seconds using a blender
- Drain the dates well
- Add the dates, sunflower seeds, hazelnut, chis seeds, almond butter and half the carob powder and blend until combined
- Carefully roll into balls
- Coat each ball with the remaining carob powder or desiccated coconut
- Place in a bowl and store in fridge
- Enjoy!
